On July 21, 2023, the Washington Commanders held a Pep Rally to commend the franchise’s new owner, Josh Harris, and his ownership partners, Mitchell Rales, Magic Johnson, David Blitzer, and Mark Ein, at FedEx Field. The event also featured the team’s current star players, Terry Mclaurin and Jonathan Allen, and past Washington legends such as Clinton Portis, Santana Moss, and Fred Smoot. During the event, the fans were lively and excited to enter the Josh Harris ownership era, despite the hot summer sun beating down on the stadium.
