For this event I was accepted to take photos at Julius Randle’s Basketball Camp held in Lower Manhattan in New York for FlexWork Sports Management. Upon arrival, I noticed all the kids and parents had an undeniable buzz of energy and anticipation to see their favorite Knicks player. I was responsible for taking pictures of the entire camp and capturing photos of Julius with the campers and parents who paid for that package. I felt kind of nervous at the start because I knew the pictures I took were vital in immortalizing this moment where the kids got to meet one of their town’s basketball stars. Observing Julius Randle's involvement with the campers was inspiring and being able to interact and speak to someone who is in the position of being the Franchise player for their team was very exciting. During the camp, I also wanted to try my hand at making a video of the camp while also taking action shots of Julius interacting with the campers. As I reviewed the final photographs, a sense of satisfaction washed over me as I remember when I was in their position in basketball and moments like that stick with me to this day.
